The Impact Factory co-develops pilot programs, providing faculty-, staff- and student-entrepreneurs with the business expertise and partnerships they need to understand competitors and unit economics, validate markets, navigate legal entity formation, communicate value, get seed capital, integrate into health and social services systems, build effective teams, generate revenues and measure impact. We aim for financial sustainability, scale and impact on communities, systems and policies.

Big & Mini

Big & Mini

Big & Mini is a video conferencing platform and smart phone application matching seniors and teens to bridge generations and combat loneliness and mental illness. Featured by The Today Show, New York Times and Washington Post, the nonprofit has screened, trained and matched 6,500+ people in all 50 states and 65 countries since launch in April 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Early Bird

Early Bird

Early Bird is a health system-integrated scholarship fund and education program for families experiencing poverty. As Early Bird families achieve healthy milestones aligned with health insurance priorities, their babies receive scholarships in tax-advantaged 529 savings accounts. The pilot is serving over 260 mothers and babies in Central Texas.

Good Apple

Good Apple

Acquired by Farmhouse Delivery in May 2022, Good Apple was a doctor-prescribed grocery delivery company fighting food insecurity. For every box of healthy food delivered to a customer, Good Apple delivered another to a neighbor in need, free of charge. During COVID-19, Good Apple launched "Stay Home, Stay Healthy," delivering nearly 850,000 pounds of healthy food directly to the doorsteps of 26,000+ people with weak immune systems in Central Texas. At the time of its acquisition, Good Apple had delivered over 60,000 boxes and employed 65 people.

Main Street Relief is a nationwide nonprofit helping small businesses survive and move forward from economic crises. During free, one-on-one support sessions, over 150 skilled volunteers help business owners, independent contractors and freelancers in 43 states with financial management, sales, marketing, technology, operations, strategic planning and more.
